The Natural Childbirth class will incorporate experiential learning as you learn tools and techniques to navigate your way through childbirth if you are hoping to avoid or delay pain medication in labor. You will practice different ways to move, breathe, and relax as your labor progresses, which will allow you to reduce or eliminate the fear-pain-tension cycle that can be present in the childbirth process. In addition, we will discuss the physiology and variations of labor, the interventions, should they become necessary, and post partum practices. You will also have a guided tour of the labor and delivery floor, the postpartum wing and the nursery. Please bring two pillows.
