Essentrics Stretch & Tone is a unique full-body workout that strengthens and lengthens your muscles simultaneously, resulting in longer, leaner, stronger muscles without using weights or equipment. A moderately-paced class, it’s ideal for beginners or non-beginners who are active, healthy and fully mobile. A diverse music playlist accompanies each routine creating a fun, positive environment.

Severina Gates

Severina has trained extensively under creator Miranda Esmonde-White, and is the first fully-Certified Level 4 Essentrics instructor in Massachusetts. With 14 years of experience in ballet, she has worked with a variety of clients, including seniors, new moms and working professionals of all ages. She also works as a Mentor Trainer for the Essentrics Teacher Training department, helping instructors all around North America through the certification process and leading mini Teacher Training workshops.

Leah Whitehouse

Leah is a certified level 1 Essentrics instructor. She started practicing Essentrics a few years ago to help counter the effects of sitting in her research-based job. Inspired by the program’s myriad benefits, she started studying the science behind the technique and has been teaching various clients in the Boston area and Harvard community. She continues to bring the latest techniques to her classes as she pursues level 2 training. Leah has a Master of Education degree from Harvard Graduate School of Education and also works in Harvard’s Office of the Provost as a senior research analyst.

Farhana Stevenson

Farhana is a level 1 Essentrics certified instructor. She just completed her level 2 training in Toronto and will be going for her level 3 training in May 2020. Besides teaching Essentrics she works part time for a scientific instrument business started with her husband 16 years ago. She is a scientist by training and loves to run, cycle, swim and work out.
