Essentrics Stretch and Tone is a unique full-body workout that strengthens and lengthens your muscles simultaneously, resulting in longer, leaner, stronger muscles without using weights or equipment. A moderately-paced class, it’s ideal for beginners or non-beginners who are active, healthy and fully mobile. A diverse music playlist accompanies each routine creating a fun, positive environment. You will leave feeling rebalanced, elongated and strong.

Severina Gates

Severina has trained extensively under creator Miranda Esmonde-White, and is the first fully-Certified Level 4 Essentrics instructor in Massachusetts. With 14 years of experience in ballet, she has worked with a variety of clients, including seniors, new moms and working professionals of all ages. She also works as a Mentor Trainer for the Essentrics Teacher Training department, helping instructors all around North America through the certification process and leading mini Teacher Training workshops.

Lauren Mayhew

Lauren is a fully-certified, Level 4, Essentrics instructor and mind-body movement specialist.  She began her movement career in 2002 as a Kripalu yoga instructor, and has extensive experience teaching men and women of every age, physical condition, and fitness ability. She chose to teach Essentrics because she recognized it as an intelligently-designed movement form that honors the body’s natural design, and one that develops strength and flexibility safely and effectively.  She has studied with the program’s creator, Miranda Esmonde-White and her Master Trainers in Montreal, Canada.  Lauren’s teaching emphasizes correct physical alignment while respecting the body’s limitations.  Her teaching style is influenced by many years of experience as a mindfulness practitioner and teacher.  Lauren is also a Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach and has a diverse professional background in the wellness field.  For more than 10 years she worked at MIT as a Program Manager and Health & Wellness Coach helping students, faculty and staff to lead healthier lives.
