Aston Kinetics engages your body awareness while you stretch, loosen and build strength to promote balanced tone throughout your body. Learning Aston Kinetics principles and a new way of moving will reduce repetitive wear and tear on your joints and decrease your risk of injury. You will learn movement designs that enable improved alignment and better use of your body to carry out everyday activities such as working on a computer, gardening, and household tasks.
During each class, a series of exercises are taught lying on a mat, sitting on a chair, and standing. Exercises begin by using the weight of your limbs and then add additional resistance using weights and stretch bands. By the end of the class series you will have a 20- to 30-minute home fitness routine that sets you up in your best body for all of your daily activities. Participants are recommended to wear clothing that is comfortable to move in while sitting, lying, and standing. Please bring a bath towel, bed pillow and yoga mat. Space is limited.
