Aston®Kinetics: Reclaim Your Natural Movement & B to Relieve Stiff or Sore Hips, Knees & Feet Balance to Relieve Aching Neck, Back, Shoulders & Arms (Online)

Our bodies often experience postural change as a result of repetitive strain, injury, surgery, illness, life stress and other conditions. These postural changes may be contributing to discomfort or pain and preventing you from being active in ways that you want to. Aston®Kinetics offers a unique approach for reclaiming your natural postural alignment and introduces you to a new way of moving and using your body for increased comfort and mobility in everyday and specialized activities. In this 2-hour workshop you will learn effective ways to release tension held in your neck, shoulders, arms and back, as well as movements designed to improve posture, exercises to create healthy balanced tone throughout your body, and how to bring these changes to activities such as your fitness workout, lifting, reaching, and working on a computer.  Please wear clothing that is comfortable to move in and have a chair, bath towel, bed pillow and 1-2lb weight and/or a yellow theraband nearby for use during class.

She has had a private practice in bodywork and movement education in the Boston area for over 30 years. Shirley offers individual sessions, classes and workshops at the Steinberg Wellness Center for Mind and Body.
