Ryan Stoddard, PT, DPT, Clinical Specialist-Orthopedics, CSCS, Chief Physical Therapist at Emerson Hospital. Dr. Stoddard graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell with a doctorate in physical therapy and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology. He achieved a specialty board certification in Orthopedics through the American Physical Therapy Association in 2009. Dr. Stoddard earned his strength and conditioning specialty certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2000. He brings a collaboration of outpatient therapy skills from nine years of practice to the Emerson Center for Sports Rehabilitation at the Thoreau Club. His treatment style incorporates the best evidence-based medicine with manual therapy and corrective exercises. He is an active member of the APTA-Sports and Orthopedic sections.
Clinical interests include manual Therapy (Norwegian- and Australian-based approaches), sports injury post-surgical care and prevention, orthopedics, the Overhead Athlete, and spine care. Outside interests include mountain biking and competing in triathlons.
