As we age, it’s important to explore exercise that will sustain our health and keep us moving for the rest of our lives. Instead of diminishing movement, this class amplifies range of motion while integrating modifications for common age-related mobility issues such as shoulder, knee and hip restrictions and arthritis. This is a gentler version of the Strength, Balance and Flexibility for Seniors class.

Join Dr. Tami DeAngelis, PT, DPT, Board-Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist, for 8 weeks of Better Balance. This class combines Functional Strength, Static and Dynamic Balance Exercises and has participants practice the Reactive Balance strategies critical to prevent falls.

This free online class will provide the information you need to prepare for your knee or hip replacement surgery. Enrollment is limited to patients who are having joint replacement surgery at Emerson Hospital.

Strength, Balance & Flexibility for Seniors is a total body workout with a focus on strengthening the core and limbs while amplifying the body’s movement through stretch, improving overall balance, posture, muscle tone and mobility. By learning how to move the body in a healthy way, one can reduce pain, improve body awareness, avoid injury and reinforce proper movement principles.
