Helen Farrah

Helen is a graduate of Assumption College with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Early in her career she focused on adult intensive care but found she had a passion for the smallest patients. Her practice has encompassed over 30 years, including 15 years at UMASS Memorial's Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and 11 years in the Special Care Nursery at Emerson. Helen retired in 2012 but missed working with new parents, helping them to develop their parenting skills, build self confidence, and overcome their fears. She made the decision to return to Emerson. "I consider it an honor to help guide new parents through this most exciting time". In her free time Helen is a volunteer with the Court Appointed Special Advocates (The CASA Project) where she is appointed by the courts to cases involving children who have experienced abuse or neglect. She loves to read and spend time with family. Helen is the mother of one and grandmother of four.
